Travelling to Italy

The first thing you have to do when you want to go to Italy, of course, knows how to get easily to your chosen destination in the country. If you have decided to buy a property in Italy, you will find here some outlines about how to get to the different parts of the country.

Travelling to Italy

Tourist in Italy will find that there are fifteen airports spread throughout the country, with direct flights of just two hours from the United Kingdom or Spain for example.

Northern Italy
If you want to go to the North of the country, you will find that some budget airlines like Easyjet or Ryanair fly to Milan, Bologne and Venice, and if you want to buy a return ticket it will cost you around £200 or 300 €, but much better deals can be found depending on the time of reservation and the company chosen. If you want to go to Florence, you can do so via Pisa flying with Ryanair from Stansted Airport, Liverpool or Glasgow.

Central Italy
If you want to visit central Italy, you will find flight to Rome quite easily from many airports through a wide variety of airlines while prices vary according to airline and date of travel or also the time of reservation, which is important when you are flying with a low cost airline. Perugio, in central Umbria, is not accessible using budget airlines and may be slightly more expensive (around £300) with British Airways or Alitalia, which is the national airline in Italy. Direct flights are available to Olbia in Sardinia through EasyJet for approximately £200.

Southern Italy
If you want to visit the South of the country, you will find that Ryanair offers direct daily flights from Stansted Airport to the southern Puglia, to Brindisi and Bari airports. You will also find direct flights from Stansted to Palermo, Sicily with the same airline. EasyJet flights leave Stansted to Naples at a cost of around £190 (always depending on the date of reservation and the date of the flight)
